Last Saturday, Conner was getting his haircut because we were getting family pictures later that day. He was fighting it a lot and did not want it. We tried bribery and just talking to him and nothing was working. Then Steve said to Conner if you don't fight it, it isn't as hard. Immediately Conner stopped and just sat while Steve finished his hair....When we fight it things are so much harder.
To get the hair off of Conner we went outside to run through the sprinklers when we were done we came in and put Conner in the tub. Steve was still in his swimming suit and decided to get in the tub with Conner. It was one of those perfect moments in life that we get to experience and watch. I grabbed the camera and zoomed in on Steve and Conner and that special moment. Then I looked around at my home. I had about 5 loads of laundry to fold, two loads of dishes to do and a floor that needed to be swept and mopped. It made me think about that moment that I was in and the camera. When we zoom in on what is really important our life is perfect. When we zoom out and lose sight of that, life gets tough and it is easy to get distracted by "stuff."

Well said! I'm glad you had the perspective to see what is really most important in life. I love those little moments. I wish I could just push pause and let it last longer. I'm glad you got some pictures of the moment. That picture will probably make you smile every time you see it. And no, we don't have to have a perfectly clean house to be happy. :)
