24 weeks

I am still going through, what I am calling, detox. It takes quite a while to get my desire for carbs out of my system. This time seems so much harder. Maybe it is because I am home all day and still feed carbs to Conner. I should be having my diabetic counseling soon, which is good because I need it. I have forgotten so much. Steve is really good to try and support me. He went to Costco with Conner the other day and surprised me with a couple of bags of frozen wings. Only 1 carb in three wings. He forgets that it is still hard for me and will eat candy in front of me. Yesterday he bought a big container of yogurt and it sounded so good but had way too many carbs for me to eat. He felt bad he didn't think to look for a low carb one. He told me he has to relearn too. Two things that will for sure not be in my diet for the next couple of months are ketchup and corn. 5 carbs in 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 17 carbs in 1/2 c of corn. Steve has been so great these last couple of months that I have been pregnant. He helps so much with Conner. It doesn't matter if he has work or school the next day he is willing to get up in the night if Conner needs something. Conner has been sick the last week so he hasn't been sleeping through the night. He is just prepping me for the baby and I am doing ok with it. Most of the time. We have a wood burning stove so we have to load up wood for it. Conner loves to help.
On Tuesday I was making dinner and Conner came into the kitchen. I didn't realize that he had taken a spray bottle of Febreeze out from under the sink and had gone back into the family room. Soon I start hearing this weird noise. I ignore it at first and then decide to check on him. As soon as I walk in the room my sock gets damp. I look at Conner and he just stares and me and says, "dangerous." I said, "I know, dangerous, so why are you playing with that?" I walked over to him and the coffee table was dripping wet. I picked up his toy cars that were on the table and they were dripping Febreeze. Stinker. On Thanksgiving we had our first experince of him putting his hand down his diaper and pulling up poop. He was in his crib at the time and I went in to check on him and first thought, "why is there peanut butter smeared all over your crib?" Pretty gross. I am going to go buy some onesies that he will wear at nap time, just in case.
Helping to bring the wood to the house.

Conner is certain that you cannot see him if he is hiding under the blanket. He thinks as long as he doesn't move you'll never know he is there. This is where he goes when he gets something he isn't suppose to have, like chapstick.

One more video of Conner helping dad. We have quite a stock pile of coal and wood.
