Making Bread
Starting off, my Grandma invited me over for Friday to teach me how to make homemade bread. She use to teach how to make bread at a school so I was pretty excited. She knew all these fun tricks and
do's and
don'ts. Well the night before I remembered that I hadn't ground my wheat. All I had was a manual grinder so I got to work. After 15 minutes my arms were so tired. Yes, I am a wimp. So Steve had an idea, he went out to his truck and came back in with a drill. He took off the handle and attached the drill. So here is our red neck electric grinder.

On Friday when my Grandma was working with the bread she commented on the wheat being coarse and asked me what I had used. I told her my manual grinder and she was shocked. "You used a manual grinder?! Oh, take my electric grinder I don't use it." She has a super nice electric grinder that will grind 12 cups of wheat in about 4 minutes and the result is amazing. It is so fine. So now we have a real electric grinder. Thank you Grandma. That was also the first time that Conner had met his Great Grandma. So I had to take a picture. I think she looks like the kind of grandma that you think of when the word Grandma comes to mind.
Locked Out Of House This weekend we blessed Conner. So I borrowed my parent's truck to bring home tables and chairs for the luncheon and left my car at their house. So I get home with Conner and realize I don't have my garage door opener or my keys to get into the house. No problem I'll use the key pad. I punch in the code and the door doesn't open. I do this repeatedly and realize the batteries are dead. And then it starts to sprinkle. I get back in the truck and call Steve he is working in Salt Lake and has to finish the job that he is on but will get there as soon as possible. So, an hour and twenty minutes later, Steve got home. We need a hide a key.
Farewell To Lucy
Saturday morning we dropped Lucy off at the animal shelter. She had been bullying Copper and left him with quite a few scars. I thought it would be really easy to get rid of her but I cried when we drove off. But Copper is now a better dog than ever.
Smoke Alarm
Saturday was a very busy day. We were working until 11:45 pm. As we were getting ready for bed I remembered I was suppose to have some chicken cooked and turned in that day to Relief Society (I am on Compassionate Service). So I went downstairs and started to boil it. I went back upstairs and completely forgot about the chicken and dozed off. Steve and I woke up to the smoke alarm going off at 1:00 am. We didn't know what was going on Steve thought that it was his phone I was just standing there not knowing what was going on still half asleep. The noise was SO loud. Steve ran downstairs and all he could see was smoke. He thought our house was on fire. Nope it was the chicken that had run out of water and had turned my pot black on the inside. After we got the noise to stop we were laughing so hard at our reaction to the noise. Funny thing is Conner never woke up. But now I owe the Relief Society some chicken.
Conner's Blessing
My Dad, My Grandpa, Steve, Conner and Steve's Dad
My Grandma, Grandpa, Steve, Me, My Mom and My Dad
Steve's Grandma
It is so crazy to me that we have a child and that Sunday was his blessing. It was a perfect day. We had 33 people show up. (That's including all the kids.) I appreciate our families so much. Thank you to everyone for all the support and help. Sorry there are only pictures of my family. I haven't asked for the pictures from my mother in law yet.
