Update Time

Conner just took a nap for almost 3 hours in his "new" bed. He fell out of his crib this morning so I decided I would take the front of his crib off which makes it a toddler bed. I was excited that he didn't fall out during his nap. When he woke up, I happened to be standing in his doorway to check on him, he just slid out pushed his blanket back on the bed and walked over for a hug. We will see how tonight goes.
On December 23rd our little family went to Temple Square. It was pretty busy but really nice to get out as a family and do something. Christmas was fun with Conner it took him a couple of presents but he got the hang of opening presents.
Getting Conner all bundled up to walk around Temple Square.

The Tuesday after Christmas we took Conner to Kangaroo Zoo. He LOVED it! He climbed up the ladder of the biggest slide all by himself. Here are some pics.

I had Steve stand in front of the slide so you could get an idea of how big it is. Conner was in the process of going up see the line forming behind him?  Conner was pooped by the time he reached the top every time but he would jump off at the bottom and race to go back up. A lot of times they have a $2 off coupon online. So Conner played as long as he wanted for $3. Every time we would say it was time to go Conner would say, "One more time." and hold up one finger.
Conner has peed in the toilet a handful of times and will every now and then say poop, toilet, so we will run to the toilet but it is always just gas. I need to just put him in some training pants and really give it a go I am just scared to. Conner is such a cuddler, he loves to randomly give Steve and me hugs and will ask to cuddle.
He will be 22 months on January 7th. The baby is very active and kicks all day long. It is nice to be reminded  that she is ok. I am leaning towards Maggie for her name. I will be 29 weeks on Thursday, my next appointment is the 18th. The doctor asked me to bring the blood pressure monitor that I am using at home to the appointment he wants to make sure it is accurate because my blood pressure is still too high every time I go in for my appointment. My diabetes is harder to control this time. I mentioned in an earlier post what carb amounts I am allowed to have but so far if I have that many carbs my numbers are too high. I can only have about half of those amounts. I'll talk to him about that on the 18th. Exercise is one of the goals for me this year. I exercised Saturday morning thanks to my sister in law. I am still sore this morning. You have to understand my body doesn't get any sort of exercise ever, it is going to take a while for it to not hurt. Steve and I are going to exercise tonight when he gets home from work. We are going to see how many days in a row we can exercise.
Conner still loves to help his dad with whatever he is doing.

Girl Name Suggestions?

Here is a list of names that I like for our girl. For some reason I am not as excited about the name Megan. I guess I have just been saying it too much. Steve says that it is up to me to name this baby because he came up with the name Conner. I don't like that, it is way too much pressure. But Steve does want her middle name to be Dianne but I think I could convince him to shorten it to Anne.

Hannah (Dianne) Ferguson

Maggie (Dianne) Ferguson

Megan (Dianne) Ferguson

Page (Dianne) Ferguson

Lauren (Dianne) Ferguson

Jessica (Dianne) Ferguson

Kennedy (Dianne) Ferguson

I know it is very redundant to put Dianne Ferguson on each name idea, but you have to say the whole thing together to see if it works.

Random Thoughts

Me sitting in the family room talking to Conner who is in the kitchen: "Conner what are you doing?"
Conner: "I'm in the kitchen."

Me: "What is on your nose?"
Conner: "A booger."

Every time Conner yawns he says, "I'm tired."

Whenever I change a dirty diaper Conner just says, "Ew, ew, ew, ew." The whole time.
and lastly,
Standing in line at Wal-Mart waiting to check out, Conner declares to everyone around him, "I have gas."

He cracks me up! I also have a very exciting lunch/dinner idea to share with you if you are wanting to watch your carbs. Instead of using bread for a sandwich use, Eggo brand Nutri Grain Whole Wheat frozen waffles. 2 waffles have 23 carbs compared to 2 pieces of regular wheat bread which has 40. The dietitian that I saw isn't making me count condiments or nonstarchy vegetables which is nice because before I had to count every little thing that went into my mouth. Anyway back to this sandwich, then spread a smidgen of ranch and mustard. Slice up some avocado, cucumbers, and place some fresh mushrooms on the sandwich, then add turkey and bacon. SO good and the only carbs I have to count are the waffles. 23 carbs for that much food, that is amazing. I get full when I eat but lately I haven't felt satisfied after I eat. This definitely satisfied. You could even add a pickle on the side which doesn't have any carbs. I just found 18 new carb friendly recipes. I will post the recipes as I try them if they are any good.

If you would like to try a low carb diet, this is what I have to do. It isn't bad if you like protein, which I am not a big fan of. I don't like, cheese or tuna fish, and meat, well a little goes a long way. I am a carbaholic. Anyway here you go:

40 carbs for breakfast
wait two hours to eat
15 carb snack
wait two hours to eat
60 carb lunch
wait two hours to eat
15 carb snack
wait two hours to eat
60-75 carbs for dinner (If I have potatoes I can only have 60 carbs, my blood sugar doesn't go down with potatoes)
wait two hours to eat
15 carb snack before bed
wait two hours to eat then test and go to bed.

I am very lucky and am allowed higher carb amounts than a lot of other pregnant women. Give it a try, it just takes a bit of planning.

24 weeks

I am still going through, what I am calling, detox. It takes quite a while to get my desire for carbs out of my system. This time seems so much harder. Maybe it is because I am home all day and still feed carbs to Conner. I should be having my diabetic counseling soon, which is good because I need it. I have forgotten so much. Steve is really good to try and support me. He went to Costco with Conner the other day and surprised me with a couple of bags of frozen wings. Only 1 carb in three wings. He forgets that it is still hard for me and will eat candy in front of me. Yesterday he bought a big container of yogurt and it sounded so good but had way too many carbs for me to eat. He felt bad he didn't think to look for a low carb one. He told me he has to relearn too. Two things that will for sure not be in my diet for the next couple of months are ketchup and corn. 5 carbs in 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 17 carbs in 1/2 c of corn. Steve has been so great these last couple of months that I have been pregnant. He helps so much with Conner. It doesn't matter if he has work or school the next day he is willing to get up in the night if Conner needs something. Conner has been sick the last week so he hasn't been sleeping through the night. He is just prepping me for the baby and I am doing ok with it. Most of the time. We have a wood burning stove so we have to load up wood for it. Conner loves to help.
On Tuesday I was making dinner and Conner came into the kitchen. I didn't realize that he had taken a spray bottle of Febreeze out from under the sink and had gone back into the family room. Soon I start hearing this weird noise. I ignore it at first and then decide to check on him. As soon as I walk in the room my sock gets damp. I look at Conner and he just stares and me and says, "dangerous." I said, "I know, dangerous, so why are you playing with that?" I walked over to him and the coffee table was dripping wet. I picked up his toy cars that were on the table and they were dripping Febreeze. Stinker. On Thanksgiving we had our first experince of him putting his hand down his diaper and pulling up poop. He was in his crib at the time and I went in to check on him and first thought, "why is there peanut butter smeared all over your crib?" Pretty gross. I am going to go buy some onesies that he will wear at nap time, just in case.
Helping to bring the wood to the house.

Conner is certain that you cannot see him if he is hiding under the blanket. He thinks as long as he doesn't move you'll never know he is there. This is where he goes when he gets something he isn't suppose to have, like chapstick.

One more video of Conner helping dad. We have quite a stock pile of coal and wood.

Joys of Motherhood

(Warning: incredibly long, but pretty amusing)

I have been feeling very sluggish and frustrated with myself lately. So, I decided I was going to make a schedule, I love lists. They make everything come into perspective and everything seems doable. I started with what chores I wanted to get done each day of the week since my constant messy house was adding to my frustration. Yesterday, I found out that I failed all of my blood draws with the three hour glucose which means I have gestational diabetes again. So I decided I needed to do the grocery shopping that I have been putting off for a couple of weeks, because my house is full of carbs! I have a vinyl project to do for someone so I first stopped at Roberts to pick up some vinyl since it is two-fer Tuesdays with the coupons. Then I decided to take a package, that we have had sitting around our house for the last year, to the post office. It was being sent to Steve’s sister who is on a mission in Armenia. The line as usual was very long. By this time I am feeling good. Getting things accomplished is a wonderful thing. Then back to the car, this is where things began to go downhill.

For some reason (Steve) Conner thinks he can “drive.” So every time I put him in the car he wiggles and hunches and squirms out of my hands before I can get him buckled up. So a chubby pregnant lady is outside of the Post Office in the freezing cold trying to grab her son to get him back in his seat, jumping from one car door to the next. If I reach for him he runs to the other side of the car, then he’ll jump to the front, I open up that door and he jumps to the back. So I thought what can I do? I grab a fruit leather to try to coax Conner to the back of the car. I am standing outside of the car next to Conner’s car seat waving around a fruit leather talking to him, telling him to come and sit down. People probably thought I was a weirdo. After about 5 minutes I was finally able to grab him and strap him down. Then off to Macey’s. Wow, was that a mistake! Don’t go grocery shopping two days before Thanksgiving. By this time it is noon, Conner hasn’t eaten lunch nor has he had a nap. Conner seems to understand that I am short and he uses this to his advantage. So, I am trying to put Conner into the shopping cart and he decides to go stiff as a board. Conner has gotten pretty tall so when he straightens himself out like that I can’t lift him high enough to clear the shopping cart bars. (Too short and weak) I try again. “Conner stop, you need to sit down.” Nope he isn’t quitting so I decide this isn’t a battle I want to fight. So I stick him in the main part of the cart and off we go. Just to give you an idea of how busy it was, there were four carts left in the grocery store. Part way through the shopping experience I start getting Braxton hicks like crazy, I am trying not to pee my pants while maneuvering through the crowd and trying to keep Conner from falling out of the shopping cart since he has now decided to not sit anymore. I pull over and spend the next 5 minutes trying to get him where he is suppose to be sitting in the shopping cart but again straight legs. Grrrr. “Conner I mean it, sit down now.” Finally I am able to strap him down, I pinned his body with my one arm while trying to buckle the buckle with the other. I just want to get out of there. Same problem out in the car trying to get him in his car seat but I wasn’t giving in this time he hunched but I just pinned him down. Finally we get home, as soon as I unbuckle Conner he is in the front seat. Fine, I don’t care you’ll be occupied while I unload groceries. Once I finished unloading the groceries I grab Conner out of the car who doesn’t want to come out of the car and he starts throwing a fit. (Side note: We have a driveway that slops downward.) Conner starts running down the driveway toward the garage door yelling, I drive, I drive. when he must have gained too much momentum and ran smack into the garage door and fell over. I of course began to laugh while Conner sat there in tears but I went over and gathered him up. I am exhausted and Conner is now asleep.

Crayons in the Dryer

I had a wonderful birthday last week. Steve got me a digital food scale, which I use a lot. I love it. This week is our 6th wedding anniversary. We may not be able to celebrate it this week because Steve is roofing our rental so maybe next week. I can't wait until Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving!
Well, yesterday I got some clothes out of the dryer and was mortified that they had purple all over them. All of the clothes were Conner's and a handful of them were brand new clothes. I googled and found this recipe:
2 cups detergent
1 cup oxiclean
1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup borax
1 cup shout
I had everything on hand except for borax which I found at Target for way cheap. I came home and was successful! I am so excited to have saved Conner's clothes. The dryer was a lot harder. I have tried scrubbing with disinfecting wipes, magic eraser, and then I tried Comet. Comet seemed to work the best. I had a very hard time reaching the back of the dryer. I have some old white towels in the dryer right now to make sure it is all clean. I will be very careful to check all of Conner's pockets from now on. Now I wish I would have taken a before and after picture of some of the clothes. They were covered in purple.Hopefully this information will help someone else one day.

Things that have been going on.

Conner is laying in his crib making roaring sounds. He is so much fun. He can be very difficult if he is tired. He lets you know if it is past his bed time or time for a nap.

When Steve goes to work in the morning he comes and gives Conner and me a kiss and tells Conner he is going to work. Today Conner got a set of keys off of the table walked over to the stairs, said, "I work." Then walked over to me said, "kiss". Gave me a kiss then said, "I work," and walked to the door. I enjoyed it.

Last night Steve and I went and saw the movie RED. I really liked it and laughed quite a bit. There were only 6 people in the whole theater. We went to the 4:25 show because it is only $5 per ticket. Steve had to skip astronomy to make it. Then we went to Wingers and had all you can eat wings and sticky fingers. It was great! Steve and I haven't been out on a date in quite a while. I am grateful for my mom and dad and their willingness to watch Conner for us.

I learned how to make these flowers the other day, so I decided to give it a try. They were so quick and easy. I gave the bouquet to my nieces, they really liked it.

Steve woke Conner up from his nap so we could start visiting family and go trick or treating. Conner was not ready to wake up, you can kind of tell in this picture.

At trunk or treat in Grandma Ferguson's ward. They moved it inside, that was nice.

Conner loves hats and gloves. He was walking toward me in this picture and I think it looks like he is modeling.

I can't believe I turned 20 weeks yesterday! I am already half way done. It is going by so fast.

Due Date Change

Since I miscarried right before this pregnancy and didn't have a period in between we were guessing on the due date. They decided to just go by the last day I bled from my miscarriage and consider that the first day of my last period. That is where we got March 29, 2011 as a due date. Yesterday I had an ultrasound and they moved my due date up 5 days.  Now it is March 24th, which is Steve's birthday! Kind of fun. I'll be surprised if I make it that far. The last two times I have been into the doctor my blood pressure has been high. Dr. Allen said that when I went yesterday it had gone down a little from the time before. Which is good because he said if it hadn't he would put me on blood pressure medication. I told him I think it is because I get excited when I come back to the clinic because I get to talk to people and see old friends. So, he said for me to check my blood pressure three times a week at home. If either number is over 140/90 more than two times I have to go in and get pre-eclampisa labs done. That way they have base amounts that they can look at later on in my pregnancy if it really becomes a problem. Lastly, the diabetes. I've been testing at home and my numbers are too high. He is still going to have me wait until 24 weeks to do the full test. Egh, I DON'T like that drink. I have drank it four times this will be my fifth time. I think the orange is better than the red if I remember or maybe it is the red that is better. Other than that things are looking great, baby is growing well. Everything seems to look good with her. Conner can say the name Megan really well.

18 Weeks

I think my pregnancy is going by fast, but I am eating horribly. I ate relatively healthy with Conner, but it was a lot easier because that is what I craved. With this one I am craving junk food. Candy, fried foods, pretty much everything that is unhealthy for you I want it. How bad is it that I'd be ok if I got gestational diabetes with this one as well? Then I would be forced to be good, because what I am eating right now isn't healthy for the baby for sure. According to babycenter.com the baby is the size of a bell pepper, 5 1/2 inches long from head to rump. I have felt her moving this last week, feels really weird. With Conner I never felt the flutters. I didn't feel anything until I was 22 weeks or so and then it was little bumps. This Friday I have my routine ultrasound. I am excited to see if my due date is on with the size of the baby. I think my belly is the size I was at 30 weeks with Conner.
I am loving this cooler weather. It is my favorite and definitely gives me a little boost to get more done. My birthday is coming up in 2 weeks. I can't believe I will be 27, it feels so old.

Odd Ball Post/Video

Conner was suppose to be napping. I went in to check on him and found him like this.
Seriously, what is the point of this? They are all just about the same size if they were molded into the same shape. This is dangerous for me because for some reason I feel that I need to eat one of each of them. It's not like they taste different from each other but it's like I'd be missing out somehow if I didn't eat all of the "different" kinds.

Of course Steve taught a new trick to Conner. It's called, what does mom look like? You'll see it in this video. Conner just has a hard time doing it because he wants to keep playing knuckles.

Side note: I submitted one of my projects to Cricut and they have selected it to be featured in their weekly newsletter that gets sent out to people all over the world! Pretty cool. I am trying to put together a website that has my creations on it but I need to think of a name. Any suggestions?

First Prayer/Camping/Harvest Time

We went camping a week and half ago. Conner saw Steve sweeping in the trailer so of course Conner decided to sweep. He chose to sweep the ground.

Conner has to do whatever Steve does. It's pretty cute.

The only reason I added this picture was because of Conner. I thought it was funny that he fell in the background right when Steve took this. He just had to carry the lantern around.

My mom and I grew these pumpkins. Aren't they fun?

Picked the apples and pears off of our trees. This is only half of them! Anyone want some apples?

Conner is starting to do this cheeser smile and close his eyes.

Lastly Conner said his first prayer last night. Here is how it went:
Steve: Dear Heavenly Father
Conner: silence
Steve: Heavenly Father
Conner: Heavenly Fafer
Steve: Thank you for mom.
Conner: Thank you mom
Steve: In the name of Jesus Christ
Conner: Jesus
Steve: Amen
Conner: Amen
So together it went, Heaveny Fafer, thank you mom, Jesus, Amen.

It's A Girl!

Yesterday I had my regular 15 week appointment at the doctor's office. It was very unexpected that I would get a quick ultrasound. Steve wasn't there so I closed my eyes when they checked the gender. Camie, the ultrasound tech, typed what the gender was on the ultrasound picture and printed it out for me. Then one of my other friends that works at the clinic put the picture in an envelope for me so I wouldn't accidentally see. I then went and met Steve at school during one of his breaks and went to lunch to find out the results. We were both surprised. Steve for sure thought that it would be a boy. I am so excited! I can't wait to meet her. I think it'll be so fun to see Conner as a big brother, as of right now he doesn't seem to have a clue that another baby is coming. But then again, maybe they already talk. As of now her name will be, Megan Dianne Ferguson. Conner's middle name is Ray, because that is Steve's middle name and mine is Dianne.

Funny Stories about Conner

Yesterday Conner kept grabbing at his diaper, so I thought it was irritating him and needed to be changed. So I layed him down to change it, pulled the diaper down, and down at the bottom of the diaper were three triple A batteries. I started laughing so hard. When I told my mom the story she just laughed and then said don't batteries kind of zing you when they get wet? I hadn't thought about that, poor thing. He was fully dressed with shorts and everything. I am surprised he could get the batteries so far down. But Conner really loves pockets. He tries to find pockets with all his outfits.

This morning Conner was cuddling with me on the couch and I started rubbing his leg. He looked at me giggled and said, "That tickles." It was so cute to hear him say that.

Shortly after that I put Conner down for his nap. He was in their for quite a while just talking. Then he started repeating himself saying, trash, trash, trash. I walked into his room and could smell a pretty strong urine smell. I walked over to his crib and found his diaper that he had taken off. Then I looked under a blanket and found a puddle of urine next to him. I thought it was pretty good that he could get his diaper off by himself. I guess nap time will have to wait while I wash bedding. Right now he is under the kitchen table running his toy car across all of the chairs. I love this age, most of the time. :)

About a month ago Steve and I moved into a rental home in Orem. It is a bit of a fixer upper so one night my parents came over for dinner and then helped us do some work around the house. Here are some pics of Conner being such a big helper.

Steve bought Conner these gloves at IFA. He feels like such a big boy in them and thinks he can fix everything just like dad.

I thought this was just too cute! Conner had to be involved with his grandpa and dad.

Hee hee.

My dad was being a really good sport to allow Conner to climb on him while he was working.

Don't worry the power is off and now we have safety plugs that I can barely get out.

Conner's favorite thing to say is, "What's this?" He will go throughout his dad constantly asking and pointing to anything he sees and asking what it is.

14 Weeks

How your baby's growing:

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

Nursery=Bliss

Yesterday Conner went to nursery for the first time. He LOVED it. It was our first Sunday in our new ward, since last week was regional conference, as soon as we walked in Conner saw a stroller that dolls ride in. He immediately got out of Steve's arms ran over to it and never looked back. Steve peeked in there at one point and Conner was on a teeter totter with another boy. When it came time to pick him up all the leaders said he did such a good job. I love the nursery program! Here are pics of his first day.
Conner's first coloring page from nursery!
Conner holding his coloring page.
After church we went in the backyard and picked apples and pears off of our trees in the back.

This is Conner while he was sitting in time out. He get's put there quite a bit, but he is really good to just sit there for his 2 minutes. I actually think he likes to sit there.

Finally here are Conner's 18 month stats from a couple of weeks ago.
Length: 33 inches, Weight: 26.4 lbs, Head Circ.: 48.7 cm

Some of Conner's favorite things:
laying in this crib. He will lay in his crib for a couple of hours and just talk.
Group hugs with mom and dad. If he ever sees Steve and me hugging he has to join in.
Milk. He will drink a gallon of milk all by himself in 4 days. I have to limit his milk intake or he would drink even more.
Books. He loves, to read books. I can't stress how much he loves to read books.
Baby Powder. He will lay down to have his diaper changed if you tell him he can have baby powder in his diaper.

Picture Update

Conner loves to hide. This is one of his hiding spots, he had just started to come out of it.
Found him again.
This is another hiding spot.
Conner kneeling for prayer.

He is getting so big!

Good News

How your baby's growing: 11 weeks

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

I am pregnant again! Steve and I were very surprised to see a positive pregnancy test only 4 weeks after I completed my miscarriage. We are very excited to be blessed with another child. I am finally starting to not be as sick. I had my first doctor's appointment on Tuesday and the baby's heart beat was 160. Dr. Parker offered to special me and I thought that was extremely kind. So we are excited to have him deliver. He helped in the delivery of Steve who was born via c-section. Kind of cool that he will now deliver one of Steve's children. Thanks for everyone's comforting words in my previous post, I do have it together again. As of now the baby's due date is March 29, 2011. So, Steve, Conner and the new one will all have March birthdays.

Absolute Craziness!

So, I am about to lose it. We just moved this weekend and it has been exhausting. I spent 9 hours on Friday cleaning the rental home we moved into. It was disgusting! Beyond words. Saturday more cleaning and setting things up. Conner now HAS TO GET INTO EVERYTHING. I am losing patience fast. The house is a mess! Steve started school so he is very busy with work and homework. I don't have internet right now. Occasionally I can find my phone if it isn't dead because I have misplaced my charger in the mess. I need a break! Still can't find any of my plates and I don't have a microwave yet. Washer and dryer still isn't hooked up. The dryer has a different plug than what we have. All I can do right now is cry which is what Conner is doing as well. He has diaper rash and hasn't been sleeping very well. I am exhausted. I just can't wait for my house to be put together. I need a routine again. On a positive note I am so grateful for all the tender mercies from the Lord that we experience daily. So I shouldn't be complaining. But I needed to for just a sec. I just need to get a grip. Give me 10 minutes and I'll be good again.

Sentences

Conner has started saying complete sentences and I can understand him! Last week I was on the computer and he came over and put his finger on the power button. Then he said, "I am going to push." My mom and I both looked at each other and said, "Did he just say a complete sentence?" Then today he was playing with a ball on the couch and it fell on the floor. I asked Conner if he wanted me to get it. He turned around, started to get off of the couch and said, "I'm going to get it." After he picked up the ball he said, "I got it." Then about 10 minutes later he comes over to me and says, "I made a mess." I repeated, "You made a mess?" Then he pointed to the water that was on the kitchen floor. I gave him a napkin and he cleaned it up. It is amazing what 18 months olds are capable of.
It seems like no matter what Conner is doing, if he is inside our out, he will stop what he is doing whenever he hears an airplane or helicopter. He points up in the air and will say either airplane or helicopter. Not everything that he says is clear as a bell, but I can understand him. My mom and Steve can understand him as well. Most of the things he says are still one or two words but he can say those words very clearly. A lot of the time when he says a sentence you can only catch a couple of words. But it is so nice that he is talking more and more so I can understand him. I can't believe he starts nursery in two weeks!
A couple of weeks ago we went up to Silver Lake as a family. It was really nice.

Conner's Stories

Conner loves books! We "read" quite a few in a day. Some books we only make it a couple of pages before he picks out another one. We have managed to get through some books completely.

Conner has now helped unload the dishwasher, twice. He takes each dish out one at a time and hands it to me or Steve and then we finish putting it away. We tell him thank you every time he hands us a dish so he says thank you everyone time he gets a dish out.

Conner absolutely LOVES to wave to everyone. He waves at cars that pass by when we are out on the front lawn. The only problem is not that many people wave back. For the most part people just don't pay attention. I feel so bad for him when they don't wave because you can tell Conner's heart sinks a little. He doesn't give up either. He will wave to the same person even after they pass him. He keeps waving until he can't see them anymore. It is so cute!

Today Conner would not stop asking for an apple but I didn't have any apples. So we went to the store and I pulled the shopping cart up to the apples and he got so excited. "APPLES!" He picked his out and carried it to the cashier. He was so proud of his apple.

We just bought Conner a tricycle. It is really neat because it not only has a push stick thing that comes out the back, I can steer the tricyle with it. So I don't have to bend over and kill my back. Conner loves it, he just can't reach the pedals quite yet. So, I do the steering and pushing. It even has a 3 point belt.
He still loves dolls.

Laying on the coffee table, watching tv. I thought it was funny how he crossed his legs.
Getting SO big!
